Airborne Gravity Services
The Customer is seeking proposals from Suppliers of Airborne Gravity Services who can deliver airborne gravity data from 200 km to 5 km or shorter spatial wavelength resolution over the Greater Melbourne and Greater Adelaide regions (Figures 1A and 1B), 3 km or shorter spatial wavelength resolution over the eastern Victoria regions shown in Figure 1A (EV1/2) and airborne Magnetic data over the Greater Melbourne region (Appendix A – Attachment 6). The data is required to enhance the gravimetric quasigeoid model over the survey areas and will improve the model uncertainty from 5-6 cm (standard deviation, std) to 1-3 cm. The gravity data is also required for geoscience applications.
1. Respondents must have, or be eligible for, approval from CASA to operate low-level survey aircraft in Australia. The aircraft pilots nominated to fly the survey must have current and up-to-date pilot licences. The respondents are required to guarantee that aircraft maintenance will be undertaken by licenced aircraft maintenance engineers.
