SUPPLY OF RADAR TARGETS
Melbourne
The Australian Bureau of Meteorology (the "Bureau") is seeking tenders from suppliers for the supply of radar targets under a Deed of Standing Offer arrangement.
Radar targets are thin polystyrene sheets sandwiched between films of metallic foil. The metallic foil of the target reflects the radar beam which when received by the radar can be used to determine upper level wind speeds and directions.
The radar targets, comprising flat-packed, precut segments must be manufactured in accordance with Commonwealth specifications outlined in Equipment Specification A2481 and drawing MT-05-02.
The supplied targets must be made available on a quarterly basis for transportation arrangements already in place between the Bureau and a third party.
The Bureau will exclude a tender from further consideration if the Bureau considers that the tender does not meet one or more of the following conditions:
a) Tenderer complies with the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Act 1999;
b) Tenderer must not be on the list of persons and entities designated as terrorists under Part 4 of the Charter of the United Nations Act 1945 and the Charter of United Nations (Terrorism and Dealing with Assets) Regulations 2002; and
c) Tenderer complies with clause 20 'Conflict of Interest' and clause 21 'Ethical Behaviour' of the Conditions of Tender.
