DNP-GTI-2223-701-KNP South Alligator Aurora Site Demolition
The Director of National Parks (Director) took over the lease for the South Alligator Aurora Site (SAAS) in October 2019. The facility consisted of a range of aging campground infrastructure which was deemed beyond economic repair.
In early 2020 works were undertaken to remove the guest rooms, ablutions blocks and swimming pool.
The Director has subsequently declared the remainder of the site should be demolished leaving only basic facilities remaining.
Currently the site is comprised of structures left over from the resort. Works include the removal of contents, hazardous materials and demolition of all identified structures, slabs and services.
The Tenderer exists as a legal entity at the Closing Time (see paragraph 8.3).
A deed or contract for the Supplies substantially in the form of the attached Draft Agreement is expected to commence on 12 May 2023 and conclude on 12 May 2024 with an option for the Director to extend for a further 6 months.
