THIS IS A NOTICE
This is a notice to industry of the upcoming provision of Managing Contractor (MCC-1 2003) services for the Planning and Construction of site-wide high and medium risk infrastructure, and high use building services infrastructure works for EST02024 Victoria Barracks Melbourne Redevelopment Project (VBM).
The VBM scope of works includes:
- Replacement of the Electrical Distribution Network Low Voltage and High Voltage
- Potable water and stormwater drainage network
- Gas network
- Fuel and sewerage infrastructure
- Replacement of the asphalt
- Replacement of building services including;
- Fire detection suppression and detection systems
- Chilled Water, Heating and Hot Water systems
- Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems
- Building refurbishment works
- Provide compliant working accommodation D Block and H Block.
THIS IS A NOTICE
The MC procurement will be single stage, where the successful applicant is appointed to plan the works in the Development Phase. The Development Phase includes all aspects of design, environmental, heritage, services condition and capacity investigations to support capital cost estimates for the Departmental, Government and Parliamentary Approvals, necessary to proceed to construct the works in the Delivery Phase.
Update 09 January 2020: The MC will not be required to self-perform the 5% Master Plan Feasibility Review phase.
Contractor appointment for the Delivery Phase is subject to all relevant Approvals, including Parliamentary Approval of the proposed works to proceed to construction and achieving Delivery Phase Agreement under the Contract with the Commonwealth.

- 30% Concept Design Report Non-Rejection: Feb 21
- 50% Schematic Design Report Non-Rejection: Jun 21
- 90% Detailed Design Report Non-Rejection: Sep 22
- Delivery Phase Approval: Sep 22
- Construction Commence: Mar 23
- Construction Complete: Nov 25
- End Defects Liability Period: Nov 26
