Australian Science Policy Fellowship Alumni Program

The Australian Science Policy Fellowship Program is an initiative of the Office of the Chief Scientist that aims to:
• strengthen the science-policy interface by increasing the number of scientifically-informed policy officers and policy-literate academics; and
• expand the diversity of expertise held by the APS workforce by providing a pathway for early to mid-career scientists to become skilled policy officers.
The objective of the Alumni Program is to expand the impact of the ASPF Program by providing ongoing networking opportunities that will enable the Alumni to maintain connections and stay informed of issues at the interface of science and public policy. The Alumni Program was first established as a one year pilot program in September 2021.
The Supplier will deliver the Alumni Program, which will comprise of the following:
a) Supporting an Alumni leadership group
b) Maintaining an online directory and social media channels
c) Delivering quarterly Alumni catch-ups
d) Delivering an annual Alumni event
e) Opportunities to attend the Supplier's events and networking opportunities.
g) Formal reporting demonstrating the impact of the program in meeting its objectives, including quantitative measures and a qualitative assessment.
