The existing Margaret Knoll viewing platform (existing platform) is located on the east coast of Christmas Island, within the Christmas Island National Park. It is located close to the most populated area of the Island and therefore attracts high visitation from residents and visitors.
The existing platform was constructed in 1999 and due to deterioration and potential failure of the supporting beams it is closed to the public.

The Tenderer exists as a legal entity at the Closing Time (see paragraph 8.3).

The delivery date will be negotiated with the Contractor. The delivery date should not be later than the end of the 2022 Christmas Island Dry Season.
