N2269 Nulka Active Missile Decoy (ADM) Assembly and Maintanance Facility

The Services includes the construction of a new Nulka Active Missile Decoy (AMD) Assembly and Maintenance Facility at Defence Establishment Orchard Hills (DEOH) including all associated civil works, engineering services and underground infrastructure to meet Navy operational and support capabilities.
The Request for Tender (RFT) will be Head Contractor (HC-1 2003) Document and Construct with the incumbent Design Services Consultant to be novated to the successful Head Contractor. This procurement strategy will provide Defence with the best option to ensure that the construction of the new Nulka facility is efficient and completed in a timely manner.

Tenderers will be required to demonstrate their capacity and/or ability, relative experience and expertise for the construction of the facility, which include explosive ordnance storage, defence security requirements and specific ICT, to meet Defence specific and relevant regulatory standards.
An Industry Briefing is tentatively planned for 8-May-2020. Further advice will be provided upon release of the RFT, expected in April 2020.

WHS Accreditation Scheme The WHS Accreditation Scheme pursuant to the Building and Construction Industry (Improving Productivity) Act 2016 (Cth) does not apply. Indigenous Procurement Policy The Australian Government's new Indigenous Procurement Policy took effect on 1 July 2015. Further information regarding the Indigenous Procurement Policy is provided in the Tender Documents (including, if it applies potential minimum form and content requirements). Joint Bids The Commonwealth does offer the Tenderer an opportunity to lodge its Tender on a Joint Bid Basis. Further information regarding Joint Bids is provided in the Tender Documents. PWC Act The Works described in the Tender Documents are a "public work" and therefore subject to section 18 of the Public Works Committee Act 1969 (Cth).
