This notification is to advise industry of Army's intent to conduct the following Industry Briefing:

      - What: Land Combat System Standards Authority Update

      - When: 2:30pm - 4:00pm, Friday 09 December 2022

      - Where: The Ngunnawal Room, building R1, Reg Saunders Way Russell ACT and via remote broadcast

The purpose of this industry briefing is to provide an update on the Chief of Army's intent for Land Capability Integration, by Director Land Network Integration Centre.

In order to prevail in the 21st century, Army must be connected, protected, lethal and enabled. Relevance and credibility demands transformation of Army, to become integrated as a system of systems. Army cannot achieve this alone and requires support from our valued industry partners.

To assist this transformation, Army is seeking to standardise materiel systems to ensure interoperability with the Joint Force, Coalition partners, and to enhance our operational preparedness and effectiveness.  The first steps to achieving this have been realised through the development and enforcement of DEF(AUST) Standards that define interfaces and infrastructure requirements on Vehicle, Soldier, Base, Robotic and Autonomous Systems, and Training and Simulation infrastructure, through open and collegiate engagement with industry.

To capitalise on the work being done by the Land Network Integration Centre on behalf of Chief of Army, the Land Combat System Standards Authority has been raised. The Authority will be responsible to develop and maintain Land Standards, and will be the conduit between industry and Defence on the implementation of and conformance to Land Standards.

Information will be provided about the Land Network Integration Centres intent for Q1-2023, to seek expressions of interest from qualified parties with an interest in participating in Engineering Working Groups which will contribute to defining Land Combat System DEF (AUST) Standards.
