Procurement of up to ten Defence Business Advisers

This Request for Tender is seeking applications from organisations and individuals interested in being engaged under contract to provide Defence Business Adviser services for the Centre for Defence Industry Capability (CDIC), administered by the Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources.
The Defence Business Advisers help businesses navigate the defence market, provide specialist advice on improving competitiveness and accessing global markets, and facilitate connections with other businesses and Defence. Defence Business Advisers are required to have specialist skills and experience including significant defence industry experience and demonstrated management, consulting or commercialisation experience in relevant businesses.
1. The tenderer must not be named as not complying with the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012 (Cth).
2. The tenderer has due regard to Commonwealth policies on the engagement of workers, comply with Commonwealth policies on the engagement of workers, including the obligations under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Cth) and relevant work health and safety laws.
3. The tenderer and any subcontractors proposed in the tender are not insolvent, bankrupt, in liquidation, or under administration or receivership.
4. It is a condition of participation that tenderers must be either a body corporate under the Corporations Act 2001 or be prepared to become a body corporate under the Corporations Act 2001 prior to being engaged as an Adviser.
The anticipated timeframe for the contract is 12 months (to 30 June 2021) with two options to extend for periods of 12 months each.
