Market notification – digitisation of Senate ballot papers
The AEC is issuing this documentation to:
•provide notice of its intent to release a RFT to the open market for digitisation of Senate ballot papers;
•provide high level information about the AEC’s proposed RFT requirements, including conditions for participation; and
•seek an indication from potential tenderers as to their interest in responding to the RFT.
Potential tenderers are asked to:
•review the enclosed information;
•request clarifying information from the AEC about the upcoming RFT, if required, prior to the Enquiry Deadline in Item 3; and
•indicate their interest in responding to the RFT by email to the Contact Officer by the Closing Time in Item 4, noting the requirements in Item 7.

Following this market notification, the AEC expects to release an open RFT in Quarter 2 of the 2021/22 financial year.
Potential tenderers should note that if a federal election is called at any time during the procurement, the tendering process will be suspended for a period of approximately four months.
A contract is expected to be entered into for an initial term of three years with extension options not exceeding six years in total.
