Lake Cochran Passive Barrier Treatment System
As part of Defence’s strategy to manage the impacts from per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) contamination at RAAF Base Williamtown, Defence is seeking proposals from interested vendors to design, supply, install, commission, operate, monitor and maintain a Passive Barrier Treatment System (PBTS) at Lake Cochran in accordance with the General Remediation Contract (GRC), including the requirements of the Technical Specification.
Defence proposes to conduct a two stage process. Stage One will be an open approach to market to invite solutions and award the successful candidates the opportunity to conduct a remediation trial. At the end of the trial period, Defence will assess the success of the trial and advise the contractor whether they would be required to continue operations as part of Stage Two, or whether they will be required to demobilise.
1. Proposals are to be submitted by the Proposal Closing Time of 4:30pm on 08 November 2019 to the PFAS Procurement inbox (pfas.procurement@defence.gov.au). No proposals will be evaluated if submitted after the closing time.
2. The Proposal must remain valid for 90 days.
3. The Response includes evidence that the proposed solution meets or exceeds Australian drinkable water standards.
Expected commencement of work January 2020
