Construction Contractor(s) Main Works Packages
The Memorial intends to select Construction Contractors for the construction of the Development Project Main Works Packages (Works Packages).
This Request for Expressions of Interest (REOI) invites organisations to provide a Response to be evaluated, with shortlisted Responses being invited to submit a Tender for the construction of one or more of the Project’s Main Works Packages.
The scope of work under the proposed contract (s) is set out in Schedule 1 -Project and Scope Brief and includes the construction of the major new build elements of the Project including:
- Main Works Package 1 Southern Entrance; and Main Building – Civil and Structural Works only;
- Main Works Package 2 Bean Building Extension and Central Energy Plant;
- Main Works Package 3 Anzac Hall and Glazed Link; and
- Main Works Package 4 Main Building Refurbishment other than Package 1 Works (excluded from this procurement process).
Important Note - Project Remains Subject to Government Approvals
Respondents should note that the Australian War Memorial (‘Memorial’) Development Project (the ‘Project’) remains subject to the following Australian Government approvals:
a. Parliamentary Approval through the Public Works Committee process; and
b. National Capital Authority Works Approval.
The Memorial does not guarantee that these approvals will be secured. Should any approvals not be secured, and without limiting any other right set out in the REOI, the Memorial may terminate the REOI process. If the process is terminated, the Memorial is not liable for any costs incurred in reliance on the REOI or associated with the preparation of any Response.
There are no Conditions for Participation
See clause 2.2 (Next stage of the procurement process) of the REOI for the full estimated timeframe for the procurement. The Memorial anticipates any contract resulting from the full procurement process will be signed from August to October 2021 and the works will be due to be completed in 2024.
