EAP Standing Offer Panel
The procurement will be undertaken as a single stage Request for Tender to establish a standing offer panel for the provision of Employee Assistance Program Services to the Department of Defence (Defence) and other Australian Government entities.
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is intended for employees who are experiencing difficulties of a personal or work-related nature. The EAP is a confidential work-based intervention program designed to enhance the emotional, mental and general psychological wellbeing of employees and includes services for immediate family members and managers/supervisors.
The scope of services under the EAP Standing Offer Panel will be informed by the Principles for Better Practice EAP Services and Monitoring and Evaluation Framework developed by Comcare and the EAPAA Standards for Australia and New Zealand issued by the Employee Assistance Professional Association of Australasia.
The expected outcome is to provide for short term preventive and proactive interventions for the early detection, identification and/or resolution of both work and personal problems that may and do adversely affect performance and wellbeing and to including, when necessary, the ability to refer employees to appropriate specialist services.
