Based on the detailed evaluation in Stage 2, Comcare will determine a shortlist of Respondent(s) to be invited to participate in the RFT (if it proceeds). That list may include all Respondents. Subject to clause 23.8.2, any non-shortlisted Respondents will be excluded from this procurement process. After issuing an RFT to Shortlisted Respondents (if it proceeds), Comcare may invite additional Respondents that were not initially included as Shortlisted Respondents to participate in the RFT stage; on the basis of additional information obtained through the RFT process in respect of Shortlisted Respondents.

Description:

Through this procurement, Comcare aims to establish a clear contractual arrangement with a Successful Tenderer for the provision and management of IME services. IME services will be required for:

Comcare managed claims management services – being claims that are managed from beginning to end by Comcare employees; and

Comcare managed claims litigation – being AAT applications and other litigation when Comcare legal resources are assigned to the matter.

services may be required or available for use by:

contracted third parties that provide claims management services on behalf of Comcare and may need to access an IME as part of this activity;

contracted legal service providers that are instructed by Comcare in relation to AAT applications and other litigation; and

other parties (including other Australian Government agencies) performing roles on behalf of, or closely related to, Comcare.

Conditions for Participation:

Comcare will exclude an Expression of Interest from further consideration if, at the Closing Time, the Respondent does not exist, or adequately explain how it is going to exist, as a legal entity.
