Remote Aerodrome Inspection Services
On-site inspection services and reports are required for forty seven (47) remote aerodromes in far northern Australia.
The on-site inspections services are required for certified and uncertified aerodromes largely located in or servicing Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander communities in remote areas of far Northern Australia. Where annual technical inspections, manual validations and associated reports are required, these must be completed by a person or persons as described in Chapter 12, Division 2, of the ‘Part 139 (Aerodromes) Manual of Standards, 2019.
Delivery of the aerodrome inspection services will require travel to very remote locations. The supplier will need to identify whether permits or approvals are required for access to aerodromes located on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander land and/or in Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander communities and obtain approvals or permits where required before commencing an aerodrome inspection. Potential Supplier will also need to ensure that travel to and attendance at any of the 47 aerodromes is conducted in accordance with any state, territory or local government public health orders in force at the time of the inspection.
