Request for tender for the construction of the Kakadu National Park East Alligator Ranger Station Housing
(a) Summary of Supplies
(i) The rebuild of two East Alligator Ranger Station (EARS) houses in KNP is required following damage caused by a wildfire.
(ii) The houses are located at the EARS in the East Alligator District (EAD) of KNP. The previous houses have been demolished including the concrete slabs.
(iii) The Director contracted an architecture consultancy to produce a design for the two houses. Details of these designs can be found in Attachment 8.
(iv) The RFT seeks tenders to enter into a construction and minor works contract (Draft Agreement) that will see construction occur in the 2022 calendar year.
(v) The requirement for the Supplies is set out in the Statement of Requirement.
The Tenderer exists as a legal entity at the Closing Time (see paragraph 8.3).
(a) A deed or contract for the Supplies substantially in the form of the Draft Agreement is expected to commence on 28 June 2022 and conclude on 28 June 2023 with an option for the Director to extend for a further 12 months.
