The Australia Awards are equitable, merit based, prestigious, and sought-after international scholarships. Each year around 90 new awardees commence study in Australia and around 180 in PNG. Given the longevity and high brand recognition, AAPNG attracts high calibre applicants. With the next phase of the program AAPNG has an opportunity to continue to be the best scholarship program in PNG, cementing Australia’s role by continuing to share our values, forge links between Australia and PNG, and showcase the high quality of the Australian higher education sector. No other donor matches the depth and breadth of Australia Awards.
