Review of the Exporter Supply Chain Assurance System (ESCAS)
The department is seeking technical expertise to assist with a review of ESCAS in conjunction with the Live Animal Export (LAE) Branch.
Specifically, this will include a review of the ESCAS framework, policies and processes. This is to ensure ESCAS continues to be fit for purpose, integrates improvements identified throughout its implementation and recommendations from the Inspector General of Live Animal Export (IGLAE). Review of ESCAS, 2021 and identifies and addresses any gaps.
A key outcome of this review will be the consolidation of ESCAS policy into a single source reference text to enable consistent regulation.
Prospective suppliers must meet eligibility requirements and demonstrate experience and knowledge as detailed in the Approach to Market (ATM) tender document.
To be considered, suppliers must meet the following eligibility criteria:
Potential Suppliers must be registered Australian companies.
Potential Suppliers must not hold a livestock export licence.
Potential Suppliers must be independent from regulated entities under the Exporter Supply Chain Assurance System (ESCAS).
Applications from eligible suppliers will be evaluated against requirements in section A.A.2 of the Approach to Market (ATM) document.
