The Project is a sub-project of a broader capability project and aims to provide a facilities and infrastructure component needed to operational delivery of the Joint Information Environment (JIE). The facilities and infrastructure to support the JIE will be based on a single “Core” Data Centre and a single “Regional” Data Centre at separate locations. The Core Data Centre Facility will be located at RAAF Base Edinburgh, SA. The Regional Data Centre Facility will be located in Perth, WA. The facilities and infrastructure associated with the proposed Commonwealth procurement for the Project includes delivery of the Core Data Centre Facility only.
