DCITA - Exhibition Design For An Exhibition On The 1954 Petrov Affair At Old Parliament House
2004 marks the 50th anniversary of what has become known as The Petrov Affair. To commemorate this important anniversary Old Parliament House is mounting a major exhibition and associated series of public programs.
The exhibition will track the key events of the Affair, from the Petrovs’ defections in April 1954 through to the dramatic Labor Party Split of 1955, looking at the considerable impact of these events on people, parties and the political landscape.
The exhibition will run from 12 August 2004 until 3 April 2005
The Consultant will be required to develop and deliver a design concept for the exhibition around several key statement, topics and themes.
To design an exhibition to reach the specific outcomes
To ensure the exhibition design is visually stimulating and uses a variety of means to convey themes and content. This concept will include three-dimensional, graphic, text-based, audiovisual and interactive components.
To ensure that all components – the content, themes, media and manner of display – are integrated, mutually supportive, visually cohesive and engaging.
