The purpose of this AusTender notification is to advise Australian Industry organisations currently involved or interested in the weapons enterprise, of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) Guided Weapon (GW) Acquisition and Maintenance Option Analysis (GWAMOA), and to seek feedback from Australian Industry on GW acquisition and sustainment options.

The growth in GW inventory and the technological changes expected over the next 25 years has prompted the Australian Defence Organisation and CASG to adopt an enterprise level approach to best meet future operational and Raise-Train-Sustain requirements for the ADF.

The Commonwealth intends to conduct an Awareness Brief for Australian Industry organisation on ADF GW acquisition and support opportunities on Tuesday 26 November 2019. The purpose of the Awareness Brief is to commence engagement with industry and seek feedback and questions from Australian Industry on acquisition and sustainment options, and to gain an understanding of domestic capacity and opportunities. The Awareness Brief will include a briefing and Q&A on the GWAMOA as well as provide opportunity by prior arrangement for one-on-one meetings with Industry members.

The contact officer for this activity is CAPT Simon Reay Atkinson (PhD), RAN. His details along with the details required from prospective organisations can be found below. Once contact details have been collected, further information in support of the Awareness Session will be released to those who have registered their attendance.
Please note that this activity is not linked to any specific acquisition or sustainment project and/ or solicitation. This email does not represent a guarantee of any future work.  The Commonwealth may decide not to proceed with any aspects of the ADF GW Acquisition and Maintenance Option Analysis activities or any future procurement process. The Commonwealth will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by any respondent in preparing for any of the identified activities or taking part in the Awareness Brief.
