Strategic Procurement Outlook

Our Organisation

Comcare partners with workers, their employers and unions to keep workers healthy and safe, and reduce the incidence and cost of workplace injury and disease. We implement the Australian Government’s policies in federal workplaces to drive social inclusion and productivity. We have three outcomes that guide us:

  1. The protection of the health, safety and welfare at work of workers covered by the Comcare scheme through education, assurance and enforcement.
  2. An early and safe return to work and access to compensation for injured workers covered by the Comcare scheme by working in partnership with employers to create best practice in rehabilitation and by providing quick and accurate management of workers’ compensation claims.
  3. Access to compensation for people with asbestos-related diseases where the Commonwealth has a liability.

Procurements will be undertaken in accordance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules. Comcare publishes open approaches to market on AusTender and makes available for download from AusTender all request documentation.

Each Planned Procurement must have a UNSPSC Category.  To locate Planned Procurements published in a specific UNSPSC category, select the category from the list.

Annual Procurement Plan View – Planned Procurement Status

To locate Planned Procurements with a specific status, use the drop down menu to select the status.

Each Planned Procurement has a status.  The status reflects where the Planned Procurement is in the planning or procurement lifecycle.  Planned Procurement statuses are: 

As published – unchanged since originally published

Amended – has been amended since published

To Market – converted to an ATM and has gone to the market

Withdrawn – has been withdrawn from the APP

Cancelled – has been cancelled by AusTender system administrators.  Cancelled Planned Procurements are removed from public view but are still visible to APP Publishers.
