Strategic Procurement Outlook
Parks Australia is a Division of the Commonwealth environment portfolio (the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water) that supports the Director of National Parks (Director), the Commonwealth park agency, to manage six Commonwealth national parks, the Australian National Botanic Gardens, and Australia’s network of 60 Australian Marine Parks.
The Director is a statutory officholder under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (the EPBC Act) and key asspects of managing Commonwealth parks includes, conserving their biodiversity and culture heritigage and preparing 10-year statutory management plans.
