Strategic Procurement Outlook

IP Australia is the agency responsible for administering Australia's intellectual property (IP) rights system, specifically trade marks, patents, designs and plant breeders's rights.

IP Australia promotes awareness of IP, provides advice to government on the development of IP policy and contributes to bilateral and multilateral negotiations and development cooperation programs to support the global IP system for the benefit of the Australian economy and society.

IP Australia is a non-corporate entity under the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013, operating within the Department of Industry Portfolio and recovers more than 95% of its costs by charging fees for its IP rights services.

The Annual Procurement Plan is a forecast of expected contract opportunities for the next 12 months, with the aim of increasing industry's advance knowledge of IP Australia's requirements.

The procurements described in this plan are expectations only, based on the best information available at the time of publication and are subject to change.
