Strategic Procurement Outlook

The Australian Law Reform Commission (ALRC) is an independent Australian Government agency that provides recommendations for law reform to Government on issues referred to it by the Attorney-General of Australia. Following a referral by the Attorney-General, the ALRC will undertake research and publish a report on recommendations to simplify a law, update the law in line with current conditions and needs, remove defects in the law and ensure consistency with Australia’s international obligations.

The recommendations must also consider any effect on the costs of access to, and dispensing of justice and that changes to the law would not trespass unduly on personal rights and liberties of citizens. The ALRC has an average staffing level (ASL) of approximately 12, located in Brisbane and Melbourne. No procurements above the relevant threshold are currently planned for 2023-24. ALRC publications and reports are published in electronic and hard copy formats.

To locate Planned Procurements with a specific status, use the drop down menu to select the status.

Each Planned Procurement has a status.  The status reflects where the Planned Procurement is in the planning or procurement lifecycle.  Planned Procurement statuses are: 

As published – unchanged since originally published

Amended – has been amended since published

To Market – converted to an ATM and has gone to the market

Withdrawn – has been withdrawn from the APP

Cancelled – has been cancelled by AusTender system administrators.  Cancelled Planned Procurements are removed from public view but are still visible to APP Publishers.
