Description:

The Toilet Map (www.toiletmap.gov.au) assists people with incontinence to lead independent lives by providing locations, opening times and disability access information for over 16,000 publicly accessible toilets across Australia. Access is also available via mobile phones and a free Apple iPhone application.  The Toilet Map currently attracts over 1,000 users each day, with peaks in excess of 2,000 users in a single day.

Through an external provider, geospatial location data is collected from more than 1,000 local councils and other organisations.  From November 2009 up to date toilet map data is loaded monthly to www.data.australia.gov.au to support the Government's Open Access to Public Sector Information Principle, thereby facilitating free public access to the data.

The Bladder Bowel Website (www.bladderbowel.gov.au) provides information about bladder and bowel health to a range of people including those at risk of, or living with incontinence, their carers and families.  Information is also available for Health Professionals and Service Providers.  The Bladder Bowel website provides access to a large range of resources including publications for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and people from cultural and linguistically diverse communities.
