AIR555-1 & AIR7000 Ph1B - Request for Tender - Managing Contractor Contract (MCC-1 2003)

The R8111 AIR555-1 Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, Electronic Warfare (AISREW) Facilities Project and the R8116 AIR7000 Phase 1B – Remotely Piloted Aircraft System Sustainment Facilities Projects are being delivered by the Capital Facilities and Infrastructure (CFI) Branch of the Department of Defence in a co-ordinated manner. The Projects will support of the introduction into service of the MC-55A (modified Gulfstream 550) and the MQ-4C (Triton) both of which will be procured by Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG).
The bulk of facilities will be constructed at RAAF Base Edinburgh with additional facilities being constructed at RAAF Bases Tindal, Darwin and Townsville. Additional facilities will also be constructed at Cocos (Keeling) Islands.
The following list broadly identifies the types of facilities to be designed and constructed as part of this project:

Crew planning and operational facilities,

Administration offices,

Maintenance and Storage Hangar(s),

Warehousing,
-
Aircraft pavements,

Communication facilities,
-
Maintenance workshops,
-
Training facilities (including maintenance training),

Water, sewage, electricity and gas supply,

General amenities (including toilets, breakrooms) and
-
Plant support spaces.

Industry Briefing
Industry briefings will be conducted in Adelaide at 0830-1030h on 14 May 18 and in Darwin at 0830-1030h on the 15 May 18. The Industry brief will be limited to 3 representatives per Tenderer. Please register your interest for the briefing with the project contact.
Building Code 2016
The Building Code 2016 applies. If the Building Code 2016 applies then by lodging a Tender, the Tenderer will become subject to the Building Code 2016.

WHS Accreditation Scheme
The WHS Accreditation Scheme pursuant to the Building and Construction Industry (Improving Productivity) Act 2016 (Cth) applies. Further information regarding the WHS Accreditation Scheme is provided in the Tender Documents.
Joint Bids

PWC Act
The Works described in the Tender Documents are a "public work" and therefore subject to section 18 of the Public Works Committee Act 1969 (Cth).
