The National Measurement Institute (NMI) is a Division of the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science.   It is established under the National Measurement Act 2004 to carry out functions in physical, chemical and biological measurements. The NMI utilises scientific measurements and analytical equipment as part of its activities.

NMI requires a high precision 100 g  mass comparator, with capabilities that will enable NMI to efficiently and effectively conduct build-down measurements to establish a mass scale from 1 g to 100 g and to perform transfer calibrations of E0 mass set: achieving an expanded uncertainty of <0.5ug at 1g , <1.5ug at 10g and <4ug at 100g.

We consider that this will require an ”in-air”,  4-position turntable comparator with a readability of 0.1 microgram, a repeatability of 0.8 micrograms, and with the capability to perform with multiple weights placed on each weighing position.
It is important that submission include an itemised breakdown of the prices of the different parts of the offer (comparator, accessories, commissioning, training, freight and any other charges / taxes ) in Australian Dollars.

The submission should also state details of delivery time, warranty, and details of any maintenance programs available.
