The National Offshore Petroleum Titles Administrator (NOPTA) was established on 1 January 2012, and is a function provided by the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science.  NOPTA administers Commonwealth offshore petroleum and greenhouse gas titles, undertakes data and resource management functions; and provides information, assessments and technical advice on offshore petroleum and greenhouse gas titles matters to the Commonwealth Minister (currently Minister for Resources, Energy and Northern Australia) and the relevant State and the Northern Territory Ministers, collectively named the Joint Authority.

NOPTA requires a service provider to manage its current Infrastructure and desktop environment. It is expected that the successful tenderer will be able to provide ongoing advice as to improvements that can be made to NOPTA’s current environment as a result of evolving technology and business changes which can be incorporated into NOPTA’s ICT offerings to its staff.

Accordingly, the Department invites suitably qualified IT providers to submit a tender for management of its on-premise and Azure based infrastructure together with desktop support services.
