ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card) Outsourcing

New aviation security laws came into force in Australia on 10 March 2005. These laws establish a comprehensive new security system for the whole aviation industry. The laws extend the existing Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) scheme that operates at major airports, and extends it to cover many more airports.
The tender will comply with Aviation Transport Security Regulations 2005 at all times throughout the term of the contract. The tenderer must be an approved ASIC issuing body in accordance with Aviation Transport Security Regulations 2005.Part 6 Div 6.3 Reg 6.13 to 6.15.
Tenderers must be approved as an ASIC issuing body in accordance with Aviation Transport Security Regulations 2005 Div 6.3. Tenderers authorised by DOTARS as an issuing authority to participate in the ASIC program. Comply with Aviation Transport Security Regulations 2005. Acceptance of CASAs contractual agreement conditions (see Enclosure 1)
