Provision of External Evaluation of Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee and Health Technology Related Submissions
The evaluation of submissions involves analysis and review of complex clinical and economic data in line with the PBAC Guidelines. These evaluations will be used by the PBAC to inform their decision making and provide sound, evidence based recommendations to the Minister for Health as to which products should be listed on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS).
The Department is also seeking contractors to perform project work, as needed, on PBS-related matters and to evaluate applications to other health technology assessment committees within the Department such as the Medical Services Advisory Committee and the Prostheses Listing Advisory Committee.
Please note that the PBAC Guidelines are presently being revised and that new guidelines will be in place early in the contract period. Further information and the current status of the PBAC Guidelines can be found at https://pbac.pbs.gov.au/
The Department's standard requirements are located within Clause 11.1
