The Building Refresh program includes the refurbishment of the Main building (Approximately 20,000m2 is within scope) to fulfil lease obligations in relation to the painting and flooring replacement, plus delivering a more flexible modern work place.

Detailed scoping studies undertaken in the planning phase of the project have confirmed the need for the following works to proceed:

• Demolition of internal walls to create an open floor plate in specific locations

• New electrical (including minor lighting modifications) and communication services

• New fitout for workstations

• New commercial quality carpet to all carpeted areas

• New commercial grade vinyl flooring to kitchenette and other areas with vinyl floors

• Repainting all painted surfaces of the building interior

• New amenities; including toilets, kitchenettes, meeting facilities.

Tenderers are advised of the requirement to attend the MANDATORY Industry Briefing (Friday 23 June 2017) and Site Inspection (Saturday 24 June 2017). Tenderers are to provide contact details of representatives to RefreshConstruction@ga.gov.au .Registration for the Industry Briefing should be received by close of business Wednesday 21 June 2017. Registration for the Site Inspections should be received by close of business Thursday 22 June 2017.

Tenderers are advised that after downloading the tender documentation from AusTender, tenderers must register with Geoscience Australia in accordance with clause 6 of this RFT.

 

:

1.The tenderer and any subcontractors proposed in the tender must not be named as not complying with the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012 (Cth).

2.The Tenderer and its proposed Subcontractors are not listed as terrorists under section 15 of the Charter of the United Nations Act 1945 (Cth).

3.The Tenderer must not, nor must any proposed Subcontractor, have a judicial decision against it relating to employee entitlements that is not under appeal or unpaid.

4.Tenderers must hold the required licences to conduct the services they are tendering for as required by any regulators in each state and territory as indicated in Schedule 1– Statement of Requirement.

5.The tenderer confirms that in dealing with its employees and independent contractors, the tenderer has due regard to Commonwealth policies on the engagement of workers, comply with Commonwealth policies on the engagement of workers, including the Workplace Relations Act 1996 (Cth) and obligations under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Cth) and relevant work health and safety laws.

6.The tenderer and any subcontractor proposed in the tender are not insolvent, bankrupt, in liquidation, or under administration or receivership. 

7.The tenderer and any subcontractor proposed in the tender confirms that they are aware that The Code for the Tendering and Performance of Building Work 2016 applies to the building work associated with this project. By submitting an expression of interest in, or tender for, this project, you will become subject to the Code for the Tendering and Performance of Building Work 2016.

8.The tenderer and any subcontractor proposed in the tender are not non-complying with the Code for the Tendering and Performance of Building Work 2016.

9.The tenderer and any subcontractor proposed in thee tender are not cover by, or has Related Entities covered by, an Enterprise Agreement that does not meet the requirements of section 11 of the Code for the Tendering and Performance of Building Work 2016.

10.The tenderer and any subcontractor are not subject to an Exclusion Sanction under the Code for the Tendering and Performance of Building Work 2016.

11.The tenderer and any subcontractor has not had an adverse decision, direction or order made by a court or tribunal for a breach of the Building and Construction Industry (Improving Productivity) Act 2016, a designated building law, work health and safety law or competition and consumer law which has not been stayed or revoked and for which the period for compliance has expired without the Tenderers having complied with the decision, direction or order.

12.The tenderer and any subcontractor is not excluded from performing Building Work funded by a state or territory government, unless approved otherwise by the ABC Commissioner.

13.The tenderer must attend the mandatory industry briefing and site inspection as per clause 8.

14.The tenderer must be an accredited builder under the Australian Government Building and Construction WHS Accreditation Scheme.

15.The Indigenous Procurement Policy applies to this procurement.

The tenderer must submit a plan for providing training and employment opportunities to Indigenous communities and for the use of Indigenous suppliers that are small and medium enterprises.  For further information about this policy please consult Geoscience Australia of Employment website (www.employment.gov.au ).
