Charter Vessel and Crew Hire
The Maritime Operational Training (MOT) team, which sits under the Australian Border Force (ABF), requires the hire of a range of vessels, and the appropriate crew to operate those vessels, to be used in Boarding Training.
Boarding Training will involve ABF recruit boarding teams to simulate tactical boardings of target vessels. The successful Tenderer will be required to supply the vessels for targets. MOT will provide Boarding Vessels to transport the boarding party to the target vessels. MOT will provide Coxswains, Crew and Instructors to run the Training. Recruits will not use firearms or exercise any use of force on any Vessels. The successful Tenderer will not be required to provide training props or role playing staff. MOT will provide role players, assessing staff, props as required. The location will be in and around Darwin harbour. The successful Tenderer will not be required to provide the Service outside port limits.
The Department of Immigration and Border Protection will exclude from consideration any Response that does not meet the following Mandatory Conditions for Participation:
1. All Crew must be Australian Citizens;
2. All Crew must hold and maintain a Maritime Identification Security Card (MSIC);
3. All Crew must sign a Deed of Confidentiality prior to undertaking any Services; and
3. The Tenderer must comply with all relevant Industry Codes and Guidelines including:
- Australian Maritime Safety Authority Act 1990;
- Marine Safety (Domestic Commercial Vessels) National Law Act 2012; and
- Navigation Act 2012
