Improving Clinical Documentation and Mobile Application
IHPA requires the successful tenderer to develop a mobile application for clinicians to use in their day-to-day work, and content which applies the Australian Coding Standards so that clinicians are prompted to adequately document the patient journey to enable a coder to accurately code the medical record. The content will direct or guide clinicians prompting them to use accurate medical terminology when describing symptoms, diagnostic testing, results and treatment.
The content will be made available using mobile phone technology and needs to be available for down load for both android and Apple operating systems. The Tender response must outline the process for using the tool and specify the expectations of technical knowledge of the user. The tool should be easy to use and not require a high level of technical knowledge.
The Tenderer must outline any supporting material or documentation to be developed to support the use of the tool. The scope extends to ongoing support and maintenance of the mobile application for a period of up to three years.
