The GOANNA (Generic Open Architecture for New Naval Applications) is a DSTO-WA and RAN (Royal Australian Navy) initiative with the aim of demonstrating the benefits of open architectures in the submarine sonar and combat system context. To date two concept demonstrator applications have been successfully trialled at sea
The Specified Personnel shall satisfy the following essential requirements:
- Experience with C/C++·
- General knowledge of software development process and tools.·
- Experience with software development for Linux/Unix operating systems including multi-threaded applications.
The Commonwealth will exclude a tender from further consideration if the Commonwealth considers that the tenderer
- does not comply with the Commonwealth’s security requirements set out in clause 1.13
- the requirements identified as essential in the SOW.
June 2008 - May have a requirement for an extension of approx six months
