Skills for Inclusive Economic Growth (Tonga)
This program is in the Education Sector. It seeks to address the lack of access to quality based demand driven skills training, which inhibits employment and self-employment opportunities for all working age Tongans and impedes economic growth.
With an investment budget of AUD7.5million over five years from 2016 to 2021, this program is intended to achieve sustainable and inclusive economic growth in Tonga through the following outcomes:
- Participants improve livelihoods;
- Participants in micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) increase their business opportunities and incomes; and
- A more coordinated, responsive, flexible and inclusive national skill development program is available in Tonga.
