Description:

The Royal Australian Mint is seeking to engage a high-calibre, suitably skilled and experienced organisation or organisations to supply technically compliant Coin Blanks for the production of Australia’s coin currency requirements.

The Coin Blanks are to be in the form of:

Cupro-Nickel blanks (4 denominations); and
Aluminium Bronze blanks (2 denominations).

Coin Blanks are to be supplied in the following grades:

Blanks for Circulating Coins;
Blanks for Uncirculated Coins; and
blanks for Proof Coins

Circulating coins are manufactured for everyday use as Australia’s legal tender to meet the needs of the Australian economy. The Uncirculated and Proof Coin Blanks are required to produce limited issues and collector coins of Australian legal tender.

The supply process should provide:

High and consistent levels of product quality;
High levels of technical conformance to Technical Specification;
Efficient material flow to the Royal Australian Mint from order to delivery;
High levels of product security; and
High levels of management, auditing and accounting.
