Managing Contractor Services for the Future Way of Working Project

IP Australia is seeking a suitably qualified Managing Contractor with experience in the delivery of similar projects to undertake whole of building construction activities at Discovery House (approximately 18000m2). This notification is to provide potential tenderers with the key information required to prepare themselves for the upcoming approach to market.

Industry Brief and Site Visit: 10am (EDST) Saturday 20 January 2018

Intended contract execution date: on or before 06 April 2018
Intended childcare centre operational delivery December 2018
Nature of Works: Staged integrated Base-build and major fitout including:
- Activity Based Working office spaces
- new childcare centre
- relocation of cafe
Model of Contract:
- Managing Contractor contract with trade cost passed through to the customer (IP Australia)
- The Managing Contractor contract will not include Design
Indicative Mandatory Requirements, including, but not limited to:
FSC Accreditation under the Work Health and Safety Accreditation Scheme
Submission of a Workplace Relations Management Plan
Submission of an Australian Industry Participation Plan
Submission of an Indigenous Participation Plan
Indicative Highly Desirable Criteria, including, but not limited to:
Experience in staged construction delivery, whereby the tenant maintains occupancy during construction
Previous relevant experience in large integrated construction delivery in occupied environments
Experience delivering large-scale office fit-outs for similar clients
An established presence in Canberra, A.C.T.
IP Australia will not provide further details about the proposed project prior to the RFT release.
