Fresh Foodstuffs to Australian Defence Force (ADF)
The Department of Defence invites responses from suitably capable providers to supply and deliver foodstuffs to the Australian Defence Force at locations within nominated delivery zones around Australia.
Defence intends to establish Standing Offer arrangements for an initial period of three (3) years, with two (2) extension options of up to one year each. Providers will be invited to submit a tender for the supply and delivery of one or more categories of foodstuffs to one or more delivery zones.
These Standing Offer arrangements are to be established to support land based requirements and seagoing vessels around Australia.
Foodstuffs are defined by the following categories:
- Meat and meat products;
- Poultry;
- Bakery;
- Dairy;
- Fresh fruit and vegetables; and
- Groceries including dry goods, quick-frozen vegetables, eggs and seafood.

Any questions relating to this tender are to be forwarded via email to the Contact Officer.
Tenderers are advised that questions submitted to the Contact Officer between 21 December 2016 and 9 January 2017 will not be responded to until the week commencing 9 January 2017. Tenderers are to note that any questions submitted which are not responded to via an addendum prior to 21 December 2016, will also not be responded to until the week commencing 9 January 2017.
The cut off date for questions pertaining to this tender is seven (7) days before the tender close date.
Clause 2.4 of the Conditions of Tender
On request by the Commonwealth, the tenderer must comply with the Commonwealth security clearance processes as detailed in Part 2:4, 2:20 and 2:60 of the DSM, including obtaining the level of security clearance and accreditations required by the Commonwealth.
