The Bureau of Meteorology is Australia’s authoritative provider of weather information. As such it is one of the most frequented Australian websites.
Online demand for up-to-date weather information is constantly sought from the general public as well as the commercial industries with mobile traffic on the rise.
In response, the Bureau has identified the need to better service this market with the provision of an iPhone weather application service, and a Microsoft Windows mobile weather application service.
The Bureau will exclude a Tender from further consideration if at any time before a contract is executed the Bureau considers that the Tenderer does not meet any one or more of the following conditions for participation:
a. the Tenderer exists as a legal entity at the Closing Time (see paragraph 8.2.3); or
b. the Tenderer meets the following Essential Requirements:
i. Compliance with Apple’s App Store Review Guidelines;
ii. Compliance with Apple’s Guidelines for Using Apple Trademarks and Copyrights; and
iii. Compliance with Microsoft Mobile App Developer Agreement (Windows).
The Initial Contract Period is from the Commencement Date to 30 June 2015.
The design and development services are to conclude on 30 June 2014 and the 9 month Support Period will commence at the end of the Warranty Period.
