Weighbridge Test Unit (Truck and Trailer)

There are more than 6000 weighbridges across Australia that are used to calculate payments in transactions for a wide range of agricultural and mineral resources as well as manufactured products.
National Measurement Institute's (NMI) compliance inspection data indicates that the accuracy of weighbridges is compromised more than any other weighing instruments currently in use for trade in Australia. This is mainly due to the environmental conditions under which the weighbridges operate.
Accordingly, the Department invites suitably qualified contractors to submit a tender for a Weighbridge Test Unit comprising: rigid body single steer bogey drive truck; body tray for the truck; and 3 axle dog trailer.
The tenderer and any subcontractors proposed in the tender must not be named as not complying with the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012 (Cth).
The tenderer confirms that in dealing with its employees and independent contractors, the tenderer has due regard to Commonwealth policies on the engagement of workers, comply with Commonwealth policies on the engagement of workers, including the obligations under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Cth) and relevant work health and safety laws.
The tenderer and any subcontractors proposed in the tender are not insolvent, bankrupt, in liquidation, or under administration or receivership.
The anticipated timeframe for the contract is 1 March 2019.
