Description:

COMCAR provides car-with-driver services for Australian parliamentarians, senior government office holders and official guests of the Australian government.

COMCAR requires a key business system with the ability to store sensitive client information, take reservations from clients, allocate driving and vehicle resources to service reservations, and communicate with vehicles using in-car technology. The system will also provide invoicing capability, human resource functionality, incident management and full reporting capability.

The objective is to replace the current COMCAR booking and management system with a COTS, SaaS, cloud-based solution which could subsequently be integrated into other finance systems.

The system is to be operational by December 2018.

Finance will be seeking responses from industry to assist the Ministerial and Parliamentary Services (M&PS) team to administer and deliver COMCAR services.

Requirements identified in the attachment as ‘must have’ are proposed at this stage. They will be finalised in the Response for Proposal (RFP) pending comments received from industry in response to a draft RFP and contract.
