DIAC is seeking suitably qualified suppliers to provide an end to end managed solution delivering enhanced Online Client Services in support of visa application processing.   The EOI will be used to shortlist vendors that will be invited to respond to a subsequent RFT. The EOI submissions will also inform the detail of the RFT.

As part of its Systems for People transformation program, DIAC has implemented a major ICT enabled Generic Visa Portal (GVP) for processing all types of visas using globally consistent business processes. GVP uses rules engine technology and sophisticated risk based rules algorithms to dynamically determine both the amount and type of data needed from a visa applicant to stream the applicant into differing levels of assessment integrity based on their individual risk profile. Through this enhancement, DIAC intends to significantly increase the number of visas lodged on-line to take advantage of this advanced risk based processing capability.

The anticipated solution will deliver online client accounts and supporting functionality such as data acquisition, document management, payment processing, appointment bookings, messaging and correspondence management. The solution will be scalable to support up to 5 million applications per annum for 150 visa types from locations all around the world.

The preferred solution will be fully managed by the provider with charges based on a utility pricing model.

DIAC will be providing an industry brief in Canberra, 24 November at the National Museum 9.00a to 11.00am to assist respondents to understand the Departments’ requirements.  Access to the briefing is by pre-registration using the attached registration form. (registration form.doc)

The upcoming EOI will be used to shortlist vendors that will be invited to respond to a subsequent RFT and solution demonstration period. The EOI submission will also inform the detail of the RFT.

DIAC has completed a Proof of Concept (POC) exploring the use of cloud technology to enhance its Online Client Services.  The POC report will be made available to those organisations that have:
