Through this Request for Tender (RFT) process, Geoscience Australia seeks to obtain a regional 3D seismic velocity model for the Browse Basin and possibly the greater North West Shelf for the primary purpose of depth-converting 2D seismic reflection data and geological horizons interpreted from seismic data.

:

The Conditions for Participation are:
a) the Tenderer and subcontractors must not be bankrupt or insolvent;

b) the Tenderer and subcontractors must not have had significant deficiencies in performance of any substantive requirement or obligation under a prior contract;

c) the Tenderer and its subcontractors must not be named as not complying with the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012 (Cth). (For Australian companies only);

The Tenderer and its subcontractors must not be listed as a designated entity by the Minister for Foreign Affairs by notice in the Gazette under s 15 of the Charter of the United Nations Act 1945 (Cth);

The Tenderer and its subcontractors must not have any unpaid claims against them (excluding those subject to appeal) in respect of judicial decisions relating to employee entitlements;

the Tenderer and its subcontractors must comply with the Fair Work Act 2009. (For Australian companies only);

the tenderer and its subcontractors must respect freedom of association and the right to representation. Specifically, the tenderer must allow employees to be able to make a free and informed choice about whether to join a union and be represented at work.

Geoscience Australia will initially consider compliance with the Conditions for Participation as at the Tender Closing Time. However, Tenderers who cease to comply with the Conditions for Participation at any point in the tender process will not be considered further.

:

In order to meet project deadlines, the Browse Basin 3D velocity model is required by 30 May 2014. Work beyond the Browse Basin will commence in July 2014. If the option to purchase a 3D velocity model for the North West Shelf is exercised, this model would be required as soon as possible after July 2014.
