The aim of this RFT is to engage one or more service providers who will provide services relating to the department's detector dogs in Melbourne and Sydney. The required services in Melbourne and Sydney are:  Part A) Provision of dog kennelling services; and/or Part B) Provision of dog transportation services.

Tender applications will be accepted for the provision of dog kennelling and transportation services for Melbourne and/or Sydney.

For Melbourne, the successful tenderer or tenderers will be required to enter into a contract with the department for an initial period of two (2) years, with a provision to extend the term of the contract for any number of periods for a maiximum of three years.

For Sydney, the successful tenderer or tenderers will be required to enter into a contract with the department for an initial period of two (2) years, with a provision to extend the term of the contract for any number of periods for a maiximum of two years.

The contract will permit the department to purchase services from the successful tenderer or tenderers at such times and in the quantities as the department shall require.

Subject to the correction of unitentional errors of form, the department will exclude a tender from further consideration if it considers that the tender does not meet the following Conditions for Participation: a) the tenderer exists as a legal entity at the tender closing time and date; b) at the time of lodgement of their tender, tenderers must not have been: (i) precluded from tendering for Australian Government funded work; or (ii) subject to a judicial decision against them relating to employee entitlements, not including decision under appeal, and have not paid the claim; or (iii) named in parliament as not complying with the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012 (Cth); or (iv) engaging in illegal workers.
