Invitation to exhibit at the Department of Veterans' Affairs 'Health Services Technology and Innovation Showcase'
The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) is seeking expressions of interest for health service technology companies and service providers to showcase ideas and products which could improve the delivery of health and community services at an event to be held in Canberra on Monday 25 June 2018.
The Health Services Technology and Innovation Showcase will allow health service technology companies and service providers to exhibit their health service solutions for the veteran community which could:
* Support innovative models of health care and community-based support;
* Improve the accessibility and connectivity of health services, including in rural and remote areas;
* Allow for the more efficient and effective delivery of health and community services;
* Use ‘big data’ to improve health service delivery;
* Support improved self-management and monitoring of health conditions; or
* Facilitate more choice and control in the delivery of health and community services.
This Showcase will focus on improving the delivery of health and community services. It excludes medical treatments and surgical devices as the scope of this exercise is to focus on systems and supports for health care rather than new forms of treatment.
DVA is interested in participants from different sectors of the health service technology industry to be exhibitors at the Showcase. To assist DVA in assessing the relevance of each proposal, please use the attached template as a guideline for your submission. You are not restricted to this template but limit the submission to a maximum of three pages.
The Showcase will be held in Canberra on Monday 25 June 2018. It is expected that the selected participants will make own travel arrangements to Canberra. The participants will have the opportunity to present their ideas and products in an exhibition style to a select group of DVA executives and interested staff. Each exhibitor will be visited by groups of DVA staff to gain an understanding of the presented product or innovation idea. Exhibitors will have a designated area in a shared room with other exhibitors.
Importantly, attendance at the Showcase does not guarantee funding or future engagement from DVA. However DVA may wish to pursue discussions with some participants as a result of the Showcase.
