Cadet Branch Powered Aircraft Capability
The Commonwealth is seeking to enter into a lease with a Service Provider for eight (8) new light powered aircraft, which are to be used to provide an introductory flying experience and pilot training for Australian Air Force Cadets.
An industry briefing will be conducted at Defence Plaza Melbourne, 661 Bourke Street,Melbourne VIC 3000, (Auditorium 4) commencing at 11am on Monday, 15 May 2017.
Representatives of prospective tenderers at the briefing will be limited to two (2) personnel. Nominations to attend the briefing are to be forwarded in writing by email to the Contact Officer by Close Of Business Wednesday 10 May 2017. Attendees should allow an additional 20 minutes for building access security procedures.
The aircraft listed in Section 2.2 of the Statement Of Work are not pre-approved and will be evaluated by the Commonwealth against the functional and performance requirements listed at Annex E of the Statement Of Work as part of this tender activity. The evaluation process may include an assessment flight, at nil cost to the Commonwealth, by a Commonwealth pilot.
The Commonwealth will not consider any aircraft type other than the aircraft listed in Section 2.2 of the Statement Of Work.
