External Scientific Reviewer Services

The APVMA is seeking External Scientific Reviewer Services for the assessment of agricultural chemicals and veterinary medicines across the following disciplines:
a. Chemistry;
b. Efficacy and Target Species Safety;
c. Environment;
d. Human Health and Safety; and
e. Residues and Trade.
Tenderers may apply to undertake any one or more of the disciplines listed above; and should indicate their preference in undertaking assessments of either agricultural chemicals or veterinary medicines or both.
Other than for the Efficacy and Target Species Safety discipline, it is expected that tenderers would be able to undertake assessments of both agricultural products and veterinary medicines. Tenderers for the Efficacy and Target Species Safety discipline are welcome to address only agricultural products or only veterinary medicines. Tenderers that are sufficiently experienced and competent, are welcome to address both agricultural products and veterinary medicines.
Conditions for Participation
4.2.1 The APVMA will exclude from the evaluation process any:
a) Tenderer that is not a single legal entity as at the RFT Closing Time;
b) Tenderer that is not registered with the Australian Taxation Office for the GST and does not a current ABN, ACN or ABRN; and
c) Tender that proposes any Personnel who are proposed to provide the Services that do not have a science degree or higher qualification in from an Australian tertiary institution or a comparable overseas qualification in a relevant scientific field (e.g. Chemistry, Pharmacy, Immunology, Food Chemistry, Veterinary Science, Microbiology);
d) Tenderer does not comply with the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Act 1999; and
e) Tender from person/s or entities designated as terrorists under Part 4 of the Charter of the United Nations Act 1945 and the Charter of United Nations (Terrorism and Dealing with Assets) Regulations 2002.
4.2.2 Tenderers are required to submit a scanned copy of the Tenderer (including Personnel) Qualifications, with this Tender.
