On Friday 12 October 2018, the Australian and United States Governments will host a one day Industry Day (After Action Review) event in Darwin.

Under the United States Force Posture Initiatives (USFPI), both Australia and the United States are funding and delivering construction projects. The US Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) is the organisation responsible for the delivery and management of the US funded projects. Two US funded USFPI projects were recently awarded by NAVFAC—an Aircraft Apron and an Aircraft Maintenance Support Facility. This Industry Day is being held to best prepare Australian businesses for working with NAVFAC on future US MILCON projects in Australia.

This event is open to all parties on a space available basis and will be of interest to businesses that have participated in recent NAVFAC procurement processes for projects at RAAF Base Darwin as well as those interested in providing construction services to NAVFAC in the future.

There will be sessions on:

• Lessons learned through recent NAVFAC procurements

• US MILCON Acquisition criteria and processes

• Future U.S. MILCON Projects in Australia

Location:

Hilton Darwin

32 Mitchell Street

Program will start at 0830 and conclude at 1630. Registrations close Friday 28 September 2018 (AEST).
