Description:

The Bureau of Meteorology has established project #255-2013-14 with the aim to provision new supercomputing systems with petascale-capacity. The Bureau requires the system to commence operations beginning in July 2016 to replace its existing computational system (due to retire in mid-2016), plus a mid-life computational system upgrade in 2018.

As part of their tender response, Tenderers are required to submit the results from the application of the Bureau’s Application Benchmark suite of numerical weather prediction, climate modelling, and oceanographic modelling software codes to tenderer proposed systems.

Tenderers are advised to refer to Notice to Industry 255-2013-14 for further instructions about the benchmarking data application process.
